THE ROMAN ROAD TO JESUS CHRIST

In the Book of Romans, written under inspiration of
the Spirit of God by  the Apostle Paul, we find specific
instruction on how  to become a "born again"  follower
of our Lord Jesus Christ.   The  following is the  outline
we have used over the years to communicate the Gos-
pel to those who have shown interest. Scripture quoted
 from the nkjv and kjv.

******************************************************************
Introduction:  "For I  am not  ashamed  of  the gospel of
Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to  every
one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For  therein is  the righteousness of  God revealed  from
faith to faith: as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith."\
                                           Romans 1: 16-17

******************************************************************
In order to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to
one who is  not  as yet born again,  we must demonstrate
the lost condition and hopelessness of one without Jesus
Christ.  We accomplish this by reading and  commenting
on Scripture in a personal setting with that one.

 *****************************************************************
Romans 3:10-12, "As it is written, 'There is none righ-
teous, no not one:  There is  none that understandeth
there  is none that  seeketh  after  God.  They  are all
gone out of the way, they are together become unprofi-
table.  There is none that doeth good, no not one.

Romans 3:23-24, "For all have sinned, and come short
of  the glory of God;  Being  justified  freely by his grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."

Romans 6:23, "For  the wages of  sin is death; but the
gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:6-8,  "For when we were  yet without  strength
in due time Christ died  for the ungodly.  For scarcely for
a righteous man will one die; yet peradventure for a good
man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth
his  love  toward  us,  in that,  while  we were  yet sinners
Christ died for us."

Romans 5:12, "Wherefore, as  by one man sin entered
into  the world, and  death  by sin; and so  death  passed
upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

Romans 10:8-10, 13, "The word is nigh thee, even in
thy mouth, and in  thy heart: that  is the word of  faith,
which we preach; "That if  thou shalt  confess  with thy
mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved
   For  with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth  confession is made unto salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved."

Romans 8:1,"There is therefore now no con-
demnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who do not walk according to the flesh, but
  according to the Spirit."

A series of  Scripture  passages similar to the above
has been used over the decades to introduce people to
the  saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  You should
tailor  it  to your personality and  the  occasion.  Always
remember there  are no super  saints.  You and I  most
certainly are not.  We must  never talk down to  the one
with whom we would communicate the  Gospel of Christ
as thought we were "righteous," or without sin.

Romans 12: 1-2,  "I  beseech you therefore,  brethren, by
the mercies of  God that  ye present your  bodies a living
sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reason-
able service.  And be not conformed to this world:  but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is  that good,  and acceptable and  perfect will
of God."

WHO  QUALIFIES:  Lest we think we may decide to  whom
our Lord will reveal Himself, we must read Psalm 136. The
chapter from the Psalms has 26 verses. An example of the
verses reads: 26."O give thanks to the God of heaven! For
His mercy endures forever."   Every verse closes with:
"...For His mercy endures forever."  Who  are we to think
His mercy is no longer  extended  to anyone  to whom
we  might have opportunity to communicate His saving
grace and mercy from God's eternal Word.
