GRACE; GOD'S UNMERITED FAVOR

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the begin-
ning with God.  All things were made by him, and without
him was not anything made that was made.  In him was
life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shi-
neth in darkness and the darkness  comprehended it not.
(The darkness apprehended it not; laid not hold of it.
    from C. I. Scofield notes)
"He came unto his own, and  his own received him not.  But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the
sons of  God, even to them that  believed on  his name:  Which
were born, not of blood, nor of the will of man, but of God."
                                                                             John 1: 11-13
The Lord Jesus Christ was born a Hebrew, Israeli, Jew, but
his own people were blinded and did not see His Divinity.  He
was born of a virgin; God is his Father through a miraculous
conception.  He lived a sinless life on this earth and died for
our sin(s.)  The only way He was able to do this was because
there were no sins for which He was personally accountable,
since his Father was the sinless (being GOD) creator of man-
kind, the world and all that is within it.  Truly, the creator is
the  Son of God,  Jesus Christ.  We can also report God the
Father is Creator,  since Jesus Christ,  the Son, is on record
saying:  "I and my Father are One."  (John 10: 30) See also,
John 8: 53-58 In John 1: 3,  we see; "All things were made
by  him:  and without him was  not anything made  that was
made.
In every instance, the grace of God, is offered as a gift
of God and on  his terms, is free.  The condition is, the
act of  submission of the will of  the man to  God's will.
One of  the beauties of  man submitting his  will to  the
will of God; God's will is always beneficial to the man,
while  mankind, on his own, is bent to his own destruc-
tion.  This  self  will, is certainly short  sighted, having
   no wisdom at it's core.  (Have you seen over centuries;
The cultures who become atheistic, are prone to world
dominion, therefore, their own destruction?)  Men who
refuse to submit to the will of God as outlined in Scrip-
ture, will eventually wreck their personal lives trying to
live outside the law, precepts, judgments, wisdom, com-
mands, and fear of  the Lord God.  By the same princi-
ple, cultures, peoples, governments  who fail  to submit
to  the rule of God,  do not stand as  they are overcome
with the desire to rule over the whole world.  This, God
will not permit, and they always come to an ignominious
  end.
"For  whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor
of the Lord. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his
own soul: all they that hate me love death."
                                                                 Proverbs 8: 35-36
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and
we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth."                      John 1: 14

The power of God is in his Word.  Jesus Christ, God the
Son, the Word incarnate, is the one on whom to look if one
would find peace with God, the joy of a life well lived and
eternal life after this temporal existence...

There is a way  for a man to  become one with the Savior.
In the  first chapter of  Paul's letter to those  without God, or
Romans.  Throughout the  first few chapters of the letter is
bleak picture of man without God, on his own, without ability
or  the desire for a relationship with  the Lord.  In chapter 7
there is a change in the message beginning to show hope for
mankind.  This is established  in Romans chapter 8-9.  Then
in chapter10 we find answer as needed...

Romans 10: 4, "For Christ is the end of the law for righ-
teousness to everyone  who believes. As it turns out, faith
is the key to a personal relationship with  the Lord God in
the name of Jesus Christ. Then, in Romans 10:8-10,13 the
solution. "But what does it say? 'The word of faith is near
you, in your mouth and in your heart.'  (That is the Word
of  faith which we preach):  that if  you confess with your
mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in  your heart that God
has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with
the heart  man  believes unto  righteousness and with  the
mouth,  confession is made  unto salvation.  For  whoever
calls  on the  name of  the Lord  shall be  saved."  That is
"GRACE."  There is no great act you are able to perform
in order to merit God's favor.

"Grace:  "God's unmerited favor to mankind."
