SEE IF YOU ARE IN THE FAITH
OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
"But let a man examine himself, so let him eat of
that bread and drink of that cup. For he that eateth
and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh dam-
nation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body."
1 Corinthians 11: 28-29
The Scripture above is generally consulted as one is to partake
of the "Lord's Supper." Taking of the Lord's Supper without
adherence to the instruction above is dangerous, and might
result in unexpected and tragic consequences. The Lord takes
the instruction from his Word seriously.

Great questions for a self-inventory.! Sometimes we have a higher opinion of self than what is true. These questions help a person know if what they espouse with their mouth is real in their everyday life. Like taking an x-ray or mri of one's soul. Like getting diagnostics run on your car to see if it is functioning properly, although on the outside the car may look good. Some things may look good in a storefront window, but is the item actually on the shelves inside - available for purchase and use?
What's underneath al the make-up? As David said, "Search my heart oh God, and see if there be any unclean way in me." Jesus told the Pharisees, "You are liked a whitewashed tomb, but inside are dead men's bones." Nor does it matter what other's opinions of us are -"Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart" I am so glad that God knows who I really am, and I can go to Him to find out. I can also go to Him to restore me to wholeness!
