SOME THINGS TAUGHT IN GOD'S WORD

There is no way here, we can list all the doctrines of  Scripture.
There are a few “essential” beliefs one needs, however, to have
a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ that will bear fruit.

* The Lord God is self existing without beginning, without end.
    (“I AM”)   Genesis 1:1,

* Sovereignty of God the Father  (He created it all and is in charge of
His creation.)  Genesis 1: 1-3,  John 1: 1-2 (nothing happens without
  His permission.)

* Six actual  Day Creation Account as in Genesis. (The earth is about
6,500 years old.)  It is difficult to be dogmatic about this, although it
is important that we not fall for the millions of  years needed for the
Evolutionist heretics.  We  must subscribe to a  young  earth stance.
Since the earth is degrading it  is the only belief open to  us.  This is
not  a reference to the  bogus "global  warming theory" debacle  as
perpetrated by persons who would become wealthy promoting error.
                                                                                        Genesis 1: 1-31

* Deity of Jesus Christ:  John 8:19, Then said they unto him, "Where
is  thy  father?"  Jesus  answered,  "Ye  neither  know  me,  nor my
Father:  if ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also."
John 10: 30, "I and my Father are one.". (See John 1:1)

* God’s Omniscience, Hebrews 4: 12-13, Psalm 103: 14..., The Lord
  God knows...

Omnipresence  (Trinity), Omnipotence (all powerful, without
limits)  John 1: 1-16, ... the Word became flesh..."

   Omnipotence:  "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying;
'All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."   Mt. 28: 18
(This power was given Him by the Father.)

* The Lord God exists outside time, in eternity and is not bound by
time or space.  John 1: 1-2," In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God,  and the Word was God.  The same was
in the beginning with God."  (See also John 1:14, "
"And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the  glory as  of  the only begotten of the Father,)  full of
  grace and truth."

* God is a Spirit,  "God is a Spirit and they that worship him must
worship him in Spirit and in truth."  Jesus Christ became man and
the Holy Spirit is in the World today.  There is one God,  His mani-
festations are not limited.  The doctrine of the Trinity is wrapped
up in God’s omnipresence.  God is present in all the universe either
as the Father,  the Son, or the Holy Spirit.  (Spirit of God, Spirit of
Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit) John 4:24

* Repentance is essential  before salvation  is  given.  (gift of God)
"I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."
Luke 13:3,  Repentace is to regret an act of thought, agree with
God as to it's error and to fully intend, with God's help to forsake
    that action in the future.

* Total Depravity of Man without Christ.  Romans 8: 7
Mankind without Christ is Spiritually dead and doomed and does
not know right from wrong; unable to resist wrong or do right."For
God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;  but that
the world through him might be saved  He that believeth on him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because
he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
                                                                          John 3:17-18,

* No other way of salvation outside a personal relationship with Christ
and Man’s Inability to attain Salvation on His Own.  John 14:6, Jesus
saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life:  no man cometh
to the Father, but by me."

* Inerrancy of the  Holy Scripture.  Hebrews 4: 12-13
(vs.12, "For the Word of God is quick, (alive) and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and mar-
row, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
* Reliability of the Scripture.  (same as above)

* Immaculate Conception and subsequent Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ
Mary, the mother of Jesus, subsequently had children by Joseph.
Isaiah 7: 14, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:  Behold
a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Imman-
uel.  Luke 1:26, "Now in the sixth month the Gabriel was sent by God
to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man
whose name was Joseph, of the house of David.  The virgins's name
was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, 'Rejoice, highly
favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women..."
vs. 31. "And behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a
Son, and shall call his name Jesus.." vs.34. "Then Mary said to the
angel, 'How can this be, since I do not know a man?"  (The name,
Immanuel, means "God with us.")

*Salvation by grace through Faith, no dependence upon works; a gift.
Ephesians 2: 8-9, "For by grace are ye saved by faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God.  Not of works lest any man should
boast."  (Grace is God's unmerited favor and faith is "The substance
of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  For by it the
elders obtained a good report. Hebrews 11: 1-2)  Read the complete
chapter 11 of Hebrews, the "faith" passage.

* Proof of faith is righteous works. James 1: 22-25, (22. "But be ye
doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.")
James 2: 17, "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

* Efficacy of the Finished Work of Jesus Christ to save mankind by
His death, (blood) burial, resurrection, ascension, and intercession
  at the Father's right hand.)
"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and
without shedding of blood is no remission." (of sin)  Hebrews 9: 22.

* Catching away (Rapture) of the Church prior to Great Tribulation.
1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17, "For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven  with a shout, with  the voice of  the archangel,  and with the
trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which
are  alive and  remain shall  be caught  up together  with them in the
clouds,  to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the
Lord."  (Read vs. 13 thru 18)
Nothing  in Bible  Prophecy is  left to be  fulfilled before  “Catching
away” to come to pass.  (called "Rapture" by some.)

* Seven years of Tribulation just after culmination of the Church age.

*  Second Half of Tribulation is Great Tribulation, 3-1/2 years

* Second Coming of Jesus Christ to set up 1,000 year reign.  He will
return to the earth in person and claim his church or "Bride.)
                                  (Revelation 20: 1-3) Read Chapters 19-20

*  Mankind to stand before God at judgment at end of the age.  Belie-
vers will appear at the Judgment Seat of Christ and appraised on their
faithfulness, and rewarded.  At the Great White Throne, Unbelievers
will be judged, condemned and the mouths will be shut before the all-
knowing, all-powerful Deity.  Hebrews 9: 24-27. (vs. 27, "And as it is
appointed men once to die, but after this, the judgment:)

*Baptism of the Holy Spirit in every born again child of God. Acts 1:
7-8, This Baptism makes each believer  part of the Church, Body of
Christ,  Acts 12:13, "For by  one Spirit are we all  baptized  into one
body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free;
and have been made to drink into one Spirit."  One of the reasons I
cannot be  part of  the separation of  peoples  along ethnic,  color or
"racial" lines. (I challenge anyone to find basis for any race except
the "Human race," or a "foot race, auto race, boat race, etc.,  This
is serious business, but we need to lighten up....

* The Church universal founded by Jesus Christ.  Matthew 16: 18
"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock
I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it."  If we look back to verse 15 &16 of this chapter we
see; "He saith unto them, 'But whom say ye that I am?' And
Simon Peter answered and said, 'Thou art the Christ, the Son of
the living God."  I believe this declaration by Simon Peter of
Jesus Christ as Lord is the rock on which our Lord has built and
    is building his church.

*Local Church:  A body of baptized persons who have expressed
personal belief in Jesus Christ as Lord, Son of God, and the only
way of eternal salvation from sin (transgression of the Law) and
eternal death, who have joined together to promote the Kingdom
of the Living God in the name of Jesus Christ and in the power of
the Spirit of Christ.  (Holy Spirit)

   * Inclusion of the gentile believers in the promises of God (the
Church) and not subject to the ritual law of the Jews.  Acts 9:
    15-16,  Acts 10: 34-38,  Acts 15: 7-11

* Eternal Security of the Believer in Christ begins at time of new birth.
No man is drawn to the Lord outside of the work of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:  11-14 (13. "For if you live according to the flesh you will
die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you
   will live.")

*There is a rest promised to the Child of God in this world when we
cease to work for our own salvation and acknowledge that it is in
God’s hands.  Hebrews 4: 9-10, "There remains therefore a rest for
the people of God.  For he who has entered His rest has himself also
ceased from his works as God Did from His. (Referring to the
seventh day of creation when the Lord rested from his labor.)

* (Laity)  One who is not professional or specially devoted to a certain
pursuit.  (I have grave misgivings about such a term and think
it an invention of man that can create artificial walls between
children of God.)  In KJV of Scripture the term is "the people."
Later versions used the term "laity."  ("For as many as are led
by the Spirit of God; they are the sons of God.") Romans 8:14

* (Clergy)  A professional minister or church official. (See laity) An
individual may, unilaterally decide himself called to pastor and
since we are all flawed, sometimes this individual is simply mis-
           taken.
At other times, an individual may have an authentic call of the
Lord upon his life.  If you or I try to determine the authenticity,
it would be "judging" our brother;  forbidden in Scripture.
                      (Matthew 7: 1-2, Romans 14: 1-10)

* (Servant of the Lord) A born-again person who through his devotion
to the Lord and service within the body of Christ distinguishes
himself to the point that people have a desire to ordain him to
Gospel Ministry by the laying on of hands or ordination, seeing
the hand of God upon him. (See the life of Charles H. Spurgeon)

* Ordination: The third ordinance of the church, administered by the
Laying on of hands.  This is symbolic of the Church’s seeing God’s
hand on one.  Other ordinances are water Baptism by immersion,
   and The Lord’s Supper.
                 Acts 6:3-6, Acts 8: 37-38, 1 Corinthians 11: 23-29.

* Prayer:  When we make petitions before the throne of God according
to His will, He hears us and answers our prayer.  We approach the
throne of grace in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. 1 John 5: 14-16

* Hope:  A virtue as is faith and love. (Hope-The Confident expectation
of future good in Christ.) Romans 8: 24-25

* Incarnation:  Jesus Christ is one with the Father, but when He was
made a man of flesh, he shed the appearance of God which was part
of His sacrifice.  Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born
as a human child to a virgin, Mary,  and tasted life as we have,  but
was without sin.  Matthew 1, John 1: 6-18. (14) "..the Word became
flesh  and dwelt among us,  and we beheld his glory,  the glory as of
the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

* Predestination:  This doctrine comes into play when one receives
Christ as Lord.  The Lord takes it upon Himself to perfect this new
believer through Sanctification and to make him what God planned
for him to be. The believers glorification and eternal destiny is also
   secured...   Romans 8: 27-29

* Justification, Sanctification, Glorification, Atonement, Total Depra-
vity, Election, Regeneration, Salvation, Propitiation, Anointing, Bap-
tism by immersion, Filling of the Spirit, Baptism of the Spirit when
one receives Christ.  Romans 8: 28-30

* Jesus Christ is the Lord of all and when we acknowledge it by con-
fessing Him with our mouths and submitting our will(s) to him, we
receive the blessings that come to the child of God as a favored son.
This must  be accompanied by confession of and turning from sin in
the life.  (Repentance) Romans 10:9-10, "...with the mouth confes-
sion is made unto salvation."   (Jesus Is Lord, whether or not we
submit to Him.)

* Election:  The process used by the Lord in eternity past to predeter-
mine the eternal condition of His creation according to His good plea-
sure. This is well beyond my understanding. 1 Peter 1:1-2, "Peter, an
apostle of Jesus Christ, to the pilgrims of Dispersion in Pontus, Gala-
tia, Cappadocia.  Asia and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknow-
ledge of  God the  Father in  the sanctification of  the Spirit,  for obe-
dience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:  Grace to you and
peace be multiplied."

*Reconciliation:  Since Christ died for us, we have (Spiritual) life in
Him and are reckoned dead to the flesh.  He came into the world to
reconcile sinners in Himself to the father.  He has passed the minis-
try on to us.  2 Corinthians 5: 18,19,20.
vs. 20. "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did
beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to
God."

*Remission of Sin:  Although we will be constantly exposed to sin on
the earth, in this flesh, sin no longer has dominion over us and we are
free of  death caused  by sin and alive in Him.  It is  as though we had
a mortal illness in remission and no longer threatens our life. One day
we will  be free from sins presence and will no longer have to contend
with the weakness of this flesh, the body of this death. Romans 5:1-2
(...peace with God, by faith in Jesus Christ)  The life Christ gives  us
is eternal,  with a "new" body, a Spiritual and perfect body like His.

* The Fruit of the Spirit:  There are  seventeen actions and attitudes
found  in Galatians 5:17-21 that are  anathema to  a life with  Christ.
None of these, works of the flesh, are part of the life of a follower of
Jesus Christ.
There are nine principles listed as the fruit of the Spirit.  You will  see
one must work to produce "works of the flesh," while the "fruit of the
Spirit" is what Christ  produces in the life of one who follows Him.
The fruit is not nine separate things, but is of a piece;  fruit, singular,
of the Spirit.  "If we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit."
                                                                                        (Galatians 5:22-26)

*The Mind of Christ: Just as the Spirit produces fruit, nine principles
from one source, having the "Mind of Christ," produces three actions
or attitudes, that are of one piece, the "Mind of Christ."
                                                                                 See Philippians 2:1-4

*In Matthew 7:1, we find, "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with
what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure
you use, it will be measured back to you."\ (nkjv)  In this same chapter
of Matthew we find the following.  An apparent  conflict, vs. 18-21,
"A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into
the fire.  Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.  Not everyone
who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but
he who does the will of My Father in heaven."

This passage is dealing with another subject, altogether.  It refers
to one who has made an apparent confession of faith in Christ, but in
no way is he following Christ and it is obvious by his disobedience.
This is not a matter of judging,  but a matter of knowing.  It is not
opinion; it is a clear observation.   We may have the  impression that
another is in a state of disobedience or unbelief by the apparent deeds
of his life.  We may err in that estimation.  If we does not state this
concern to another, we have not judged that one,  but are reserving
judgment.  If we do not go to that one and express concern, we do not
love with the Love of ourLord Jesus Christ.  A good/safe way to con-
duct your life;
"Hold a higher standard for your conduct
than for any other."  (personal belief)

I have just reviewed this post (3.13.15) and found some statements
without  substantive Scripture  references.  This has been corrected.

If a man could examine Scripture to determine priorities on just what
is most important, he would have to include the information in the
link below.  (Just What is the Gospel.)  If we miss this we miss every-
thing...
