A QUESTION OF THE AGES FOR YOUTH............Psalm 119: 9-11

"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?  by taking heed
thereto  according  to  thy  Word.  With  my  whole   heart  have I
sought  thee:  O let me not wander  from thy commandments.  Thy
Word have I hid in mine heart,  that I might not sin against thee."

This question should be considered of every boy/girl at an early
age.  To save one from   shipwreck of life  one must order his life
by the Word of God.  If we consider the whole of Scripture, "Old"
and  "New"  Testaments,  we  find  Commandment,  Precept, Law,
Testimony, Statute, Judgment, Way, and Truth, all in the Word of
God.  There must  be nothing put before the acquisition and obe-
dience  to the  knowledge  found  there.  In Psalm 16: 11  we find;
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness
of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore"

There is also this:  The one who has lived without guidance or
attention to  the Word of God,  may be  given the opportunity to
rectify or right the ship,  even at advanced age.  With a  heart of
thanksgiving, he/she may find the Lord God with open arms and
heart to receive such an one without recrimination. The "Word "
to a  youth may keep him from shipwreck of life,  but to one who
is advanced in age and has experienced such,  may be given, not
only a second  and third,  even a  fourth opportunity to end well
and enjoy life eternal with his Lord as he follows the same admo-
nition that is given a youth in this passage. It is quite possible to
find  Jesus Christ, God the Son, with open arms, welcoming  this
one into the Kingdom of  God.  There is no  promise of a  tomor-
row  on  this earth.  "Today,  if you will  hear His  voice,  Do not
harden your hearts as in  the Rebellion."  (Psalm 95: 7, 8)
Then Hebrews 3: 18, 19;  "And to whom did he swear that they
would  not enter  His rest, but to those who did not obey.  So we
see that  they could  not  enter  because of  unbelief."   We  must
conclude  then;  the only thing to keep one  from Eternal Life is
the sin of unbelief.  "He who believes in Him is not condemned,
but he who does not believe is condemned  already, because he
has not  believed on  the only begotten Son of God.  John 3: 18.

There are some among us,  who do not have the apparent
capacity to have  faith in the Lord God. (believe) We find,
however; the Scripture (Word of God) has the answer.
"So then, faith cometh by hearing, and  hearing by the
Word  of God."  (Romans 10:17)  Therefore, we  must
start reading, studying and obeying that word,  for us
to be given the gift of  faith.  It cannot be  earned, nor
may  we gain faith through human  effort or merit.  It
is a gift....  to the one who seeks  with his whole heart
through an indepth  search of  Scripture.  There is no
other way.  (See above in Romans 10: 17)
